Workshop Series III:

Interviewing and Focus Groups

Part 1 (Interviewing): Wednesday, January 19, 12:00pm - 1:00pm via Zoom

Part 2 (Focus Groups): Wednesday, February 2, 12:00pm - 1:00pm via Zoom

Please join us to learn the basics of interviewing and focus group facilitation. In Part 1 we’ll learn best practices of interviewing and how to write good qualitative interview questions.  After Part 1 you’ll have about two hours of homework to complete before Part 2.  In Part 2 we’ll learn about facilitation of focus groups.

This event will be facilitated by Heidi Rishel Brakey, MA, Senior Qualitative Researcher at the University of New Mexico Clinical and Translational Sciences Center.

Please plan to attend Parts 1 and 2 as a series.  Part 2 will discuss material from Part 1.  If you RSVP 'yes', please commit to attending.

About the Facilitator:

Heidi Rishel Brakey, MA is the Senior Qualitative Researcher at the University of New Mexico Clinical and Translational Sciences Center. She is an NVivo certified expert, specializes in qualitative and community-engaged research, and has 13 years of experience on over 50 mixed methods studies in numerous settings and health science disciplines.
