About me
Scott is the founder of S. D. Hughes group, LLC. Prior to starting this research and evaluation company, I was employed with the University of New Mexico's Geospatial and Population Studies (GPS), the Cradle to Career Policy Institute (CCPI) (4/1/2011 to 7/31/2022), and the state of New Mexico Legislative Education Study Committee (10/2001 to 4/2004) and Department of Finance Office of Education Accountability (4/2004 to 4/2011). Educated and trained as a historian, I possess extensive skills in qualitative analysis, project management, survey development, focus group facilitation, writing and editing. Over the past 20 years of being involved in evaluation, he has served as the lead researcher or team member on various projects that range from nuclear waste, to health care and Pre-K to Higher Education. I earned my bachelor's degree at Michigan State University and my master's and doctorate from the University of New Mexico, all of which are in history.
